Even When It Wrong Sample edition by Nicole Jackson Literature Fiction eBooks

I have enjoyed Nicole Jackson's books immensely. She does well with character development and keeps you entertained. The problem I have with her books is the repetitive storyline. I almost feel it's a paint by number short of thing. I don't have a problem with the look or description of the characters as they are diverse. It does amaze me how many flawless chicks are floating around in the same general area but I'll go with it. The girls have horrible parents but we don't really delve into the psyche of the mothers. We touched on Mya's father but never really got too much detail. The girls are always super smart but continue to have pregnancy after pregnancy and are surprised at how babies are made. Do teen pregnancies happen in the hood far more often than they should...absolutely. But these girls, especially the smarter ones, fall into the same trap repeatedly. The girls are always so sexy even while pregnant. The guy ALWAYS wants to have a baby. The home is always peaceful until the drama comes. Almost every jealous ex, tries to kill their rival. Heck, the hood should have a shortage based on how many guys have died messing with these chicks. You can have hood books and be authentic but these storylines are fill in the blank. Oh and please, no more almost died or in a coma characters. She Got It (pretending SG2 doesn't exist) and Promiscuous Girl (pretending PG2 doesn't exists) were my absolute favorites. There is so much potential for Nicole's books but I really want to see some growth in her writing. I hope she takes this review not as bashing but from one reader to another (because authors are readers too) that there is much room for growth and I will be right with her on the journey.

Even When It Wrong Sample edition by Nicole Jackson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I'm ready for the rest of the book. Excited to learn more about Mya. This sample is longer than some of you authors whole books take notesπŸ”ŠπŸ“’
This book was no different from her other books. I was glad to see some of the other characters from her previous books make a cameo. The way they hooked up was ridiculous but, the love they had for each other was crazy. Omari played no games when it came to Mya and vice versa. More than a few errors.
I knew I was setting myself up for failure!!! I purchased the sample just for support to Nicole. I promised myself I wasn't going to read it at all and I was going to wait for the completed book. The reading group was excitedly talking about the sample and I threw the towel in and dove in head first!! Clearly I was not disappointed!! Nicole's sample was better than some authors whole series. Great job once again. It was nice seeing old characters appear. Meeka is one character I'm not going to like. I'm praying that the completed book will drop soon!!
There's so much I wanna say.... but it's tooooooo much to put in this review especially when it's just hours since the book release. All I'm willing to say is this book was worth every penny I paid for it. I couldn't put it down. At no time while I was reading this story did it lag. Nicole books are just always on point with that.

Thank you Nicole for blessing us with that pen as usual.
So scandalous and I LOOOVED IT! πŸ˜‚ If you ain't tryna be out here like feind looking for a hit I suggest you wait cause this book was everything!!
Not to be mistaken, Nicole is talented and a phenomenal story teller. I like that her stories are realistic and relatable, however the storylines are becoming a bit redundant. The storyline is always humble beginnings, then the characters finally come up then there's a drastic ending that turns happy. All of the girls look the same. Small waist w/ a Nicki Minaj booty, long natural hair, flawless skin, tight eyes .. the only thing that changes are the characters skin tones. Then the main male character is ALWAYS possessive & ignorant about the main female character but is womanizer himself, ALWAYS. Then all arguments end with sex. Now granted, I'm young & makeup sex is cool however makeup sex isn't always the answer and a bit unrealistic ... when I'm pissed, I'm PISSED and I wish a ni#*a would touch me while I'm beyond mad at him. Speaking of which, one scene in particular didn't sit right with me. When Tip called Myas phone & Omari got upset and wanted to "punish" her by having rough sex with her. Ummm, relationship or not that's borderline rape & that's not something that needs to glamorized or made to believe as passion or "love". With that being said, I give it 3 and I reiterate Nicole is a beast with the pen. Her talent in storytelling is not questionable.. but girl, we need more than the same ole same ole just different character names ...
Nicole Jackson is a good writer. I just wish that she would come up with more storylines. It's been a few years since I purchased/read her work and I feel as if I haven't missed anything. The female main characters are still thick with long hair and big butts. They still are getting into relationships with hustlers on the come up. They still are getting pregnant between the ages of 11 and 17. They still have a lack of parental supervision. The main male characters are still trying to manage multiple women. There's still that one salty female that causes the main male and the main female characters to break up. The main female character is still running to the main male character's enemy to find comfort after the break up. I could go on, but I'll stop and just say "Please find another storyline." You have amazing writing abilities and I feel you could pull off writing about other aspects of black love.
